Curious Re Plastic Surgery & Realize Port?

I have the lap band and it has worked very well for me.  I was wondering if any of you know if your port is attached with permanent "hooks" and you have plastic surgery (tummy tuck) can that port be relocated in the new muscle configuration?  Like I posted I'm just curious?  Good luck to all of you and much success.  Come visit us on the lap band forum.

well, i like to look at discovery channel, and they have a lot of plastic surgery shows.  i saw one in which the patient did have a port, and all they did was remove it, performed the tummy tuck, and attached the port back to the muscle.

I had a tummy tuck last summer after being 2 years post op.  The plastic surgeon moved the port during the tummy tuck and reattached it to a better location with the flatter stomach and during the muscle repair.
